Mr. Yarnell's twenty years experience as a trial lawyer in complex commercial matters, together with many years managing a busy civil trial calendar while on the bench, has lead to a keen understanding of the needs and difficulties presented in the cost effective resolution of complex disputes.
Mr. Yarnell has a working knowledge in most commercial law areas, including: construction, real estate, banking, sales, franchise, technology and intellectual property. Mr. Yarnell also has considerable experience in all areas of personal injury, wrongful death and professional negligence.
Mr. Yarnell conducted over two hundred court settlement conferences during his thirteen years as a judge on the Maricopa County Superior Court trial bench in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Yarnell completed a forty-hour course for mediators presented jointly by the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and Judicial Division, participated in teaching that course in Arizona, and has lectured on various alternative dispute resolution topics.
Mr. Yarnell, since retiring from the trial bench has conducted over fifteen commercially related mediations.
